The cost of replacing your carpet with new carpet continues to rise every year. Unfortunately, much of the medium and lower priced carpet sold today is made from or blended with polypropylene (a plastic material) that will wear faster in high traffic areas compared to polyester or traditional 100% nylon carpet which you may already have. It is generally recommended to regularly clean your carpets at least once every 1 to 2 years, however if your carpet sees heavy usage, it may be necessary to clean it more frequently.

Pay by cash, check (some restrictions), Venmo, or credit card after the service is complete.
A medium sized job, say 3 rooms and a hall will take approximately an hour and a half. Of course, this can vary depending on accessibility, soil conditions, etc. Pre-vacuuming is recommended, but not required. Please move odds and ends off of the carpet and clear out each room as much as possible. I only move basic, light furniture if necessary, such as end tables, chairs, etc. If you have pets, please find a place to secure them so they don’t escape out the front door during the cleaning.
Hot water extraction cleaning will take a little longer to dry than other “dry” or VLM/bonnet cleaning methods. A typical medium pile carpet will feel 90% dry (or more) after the first hour & take about 6 hours to fully dry, some low pile carpets will dry much faster. I take steps to reduce the dry time as much as possible such as: proper wand technique, use the least amount of water as possible, maintain hoses & vac filters to ensure no leaks that would reduce vacuum pressure, and always follow the cleaning pass with a dry pass.
My cleaning process for most residential cleaning jobs comes in 4 basic steps after evaluating the condition of your carpet – 1. Pre-vacuum when necessary. 2. Pre-spray all areas wall to wall and address specific areas of concern accordingly. Allow appropriate dwell time for pre-spray to loosen soiled areas. 3. Use appropriate agitation as needed with a hand brush, counter rotating brush machine, or rotary machine to further dislodge stains, spills, and soil. 4. Extract with fresh water or neutral rinse. I carry a variety of tools and cleaning supplies in the van for many situations such as UV light, carpet blower, sub-surface extraction tool, etc.
